Spice Season

I designed the branding for a thai-fusion l.a. restaurant in 2015.

The work

the brand centered around the playful personality of the restaurant owner.

The client wanted a casual, goofy, experimental feel for the restaurant. He was playful. The food was playful. The branding needed to be playful. The client provided food photography. I provided the visual direction.

Mischievous hand-drawn illustrations tied the pages together.

my contribution

i worked directly with the client to provide the logo, direction, illustrations, and original photography (excluding food photography).

The impact

spice season had a successful opening in 2015, survived covid-related restaurant closures, and even opened a second location in glendale, California.
